Bedrooms:
There are two masters on the second floor with king beds and en suite bathrooms. One of the masters has a built-in desk with printer/fax/copier.
On the ground level, there is a bunk room that sleeps four and two additional bedrooms with queen beds. All beds are less than a year old and plush. We provide sheets and bath towels for your use, so no packing or renting linens.
Check-in:
Check in on Friday during the peak season. Get settled and relaxing faster and with less hassle than Saturday-Saturday rentals (when 65-70% of OBX vacationers arrive/depart).
Getting to the Beach:
Walking (5 minutes): Slip out the back door, walk across to Ocean Hill Blvd East, turn left onto Windance Lane, access to beach (and closest parking lot) on right side about 600 feet down the street.
Driving/Biking (2 minutes): North on Rt. 12 about 1/4 mile, after sharp turn, turn right onto Headwind Way. Parking lot, ocean-side pool and snack bar are straight ahead.
Hot Tub and Pools:
There is a 5-6 person hot tub on the second level in the shade under the screened porch (3rd level). We do not have a private pool, but the closest neighborhood pool is within 200 feet of the house and we have usually found it to be quiet and not crowded. Both that pool and the ocean-side pool are large and staffed during the day and include chairs and tables with umbrellas. Our private community pool is open approximately May 15 through October 15.
What we LOVE about this house:
The home has a TON of character and is more much unique than most houses in the area. The open-concept great room and kitchen is filled with large windows. It’s the perfect place to kick back, relax, and recharge.
What we LOVE about this location:
The Villages at Ocean Hill is a beautiful lakefront and oceanfront community on the north side of Corolla. It is half a mile from the 4×4 beach access and the Currituck Banks Coastal Estuarine Reserve which has a 5-mile boardwalk (walking trail) into the sound.
It is within walking distance to pizza, ice cream, a beer garden, shops, and Corolla Adventure Park (so fun!). You can get around by foot and bikes most of the day, but will need a car for grocery shopping and to check out restaurants in southern Corolla and Duck.
